I like to get beginning students comfortable with their instrument and playing music as soon as possible. I use common method books such as Faber, as well as newer ones aimed to younger students such as Wunderkeys. I teach traditional reading and music theory, but also include a wide variety of outside materials to get students learning the necessary vocabulary to be their own observer.
