Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I usually use the Piano Adventure series of books for beginning students, since they have a diverse selection of pieces and do an excellent job of introducing funadmentals in a gradual and easy-to-grasp manner. I work on hand coordination and positioning separately to avoid having to fix bad habits later on. One of the most important aspects of my teaching is that I teach students to play music that they are interested in, often by writing arrangements of music that they are familiar with.
