I have played guitar professionally for 15 years, first in the Maryland/DC metro area and for the past 8 years in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. This includes several bands of my own creation that have toured the region as well as dozens of substitute stints filling in for rock, jazz, blues, and pop groups. I am a passionate and motivated teaching artist who enjoys working with children and adults. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music at Loyola University New Orleans in the fall of 2017. Performing chamber music, playing in Orchestra, and special events for weddings and corporate events have been an exciting part of my life as a musician. I've had the opportunity to perform for the Emmerson string Quartet, Degas String Quartet, and have been a part of many premieres such as an Opera Premiere entitled " The lions of reconstruction", and welcomed and played for the first lady of Haiti! I have taught dozens students from over 20 countries about songwriting, guitar playing, singing, lyric writing, piano, ukulele and more. Since 2011 I have played in over 1000 stages, starting in my hometown of Corrientes, Argentina, at first playing on the streets for tips and later moving onto bars, later theaters, and now touring full time. Teaching has always been something I have gravitated towards, specially after several requests from my listeners. I have ample examples of frustrated or disillusioned kids and adults that left my classes with their heads held high, because they finally felt they were moving another more step towards their musical goals. For my younger students, i would start with the simple lullabies like ABC's and Row Your Boat to get them familiar with the instrument and getting them used to playing what they want to hear. Then we'd move on to Hal Leonard's fundamental books to develop reading skills. For the older students, i'd get an understanding of what their listening to and how they want to play and start to introduce them to essential principles to be the musician they are imagining themselves to be.
