I am a passionate and motivated teaching artist who enjoys working with children and adults. I graduated with a Bachelor's in Music at Loyola University New Orleans in the fall of 2017. Performing chamber music, playing in Orchestra, and special events for weddings and corporate events have been an exciting part of my life as a musician. I begin with the fundamentals of music theory that you will need to begin playing your instrument, and then I like to get straight into learning songs as quickly as possible. The student may choose what songs to learn (recommended) or I can make suggestions. You will learn a range of skills including tuning, instrument care, song struture, chords, soloing, and MUCH MORE. I am an empathic and eager tutor who enjoys students of all ages and is happy to meet you at your level. I have over 10 years of experience, I have taught dozens of students from all over the word over the last few years in a number of disciplines and skill levels. I hold a Bachelor of Music degree in flute performance from UC Santa Barbara, and a Master of Music degree in flute performance from the Bob Cole Conservatory of Music at CSU Long Beach. My methods adapt to each student, their age and their level. The books I use go from the Suzuki books to the traditional Fouillard, Popper or Sebastian Lee methods. The repertoire would also depend on the student needs and the type of music he/she wants to learn. The age of the student is not relevant to me.
