I have been playing guitar for 13 years. I've been teaching, creating and writing for many years, and also play in a band. My music experience also consists of formal musical education, as well as knowledge of the Clarinet, Saxophone, Piano, Drums and Violin. I played in an orchestra, a marching band, jazz bands, my own bands, and solo. I have good skills with writing and improvising music. I have had plenty of experience teaching both privately and in a classroom setting. I began teaching private lessons on the piano and violin in high school, where I mainly had elementary school beginners. My teaching experience started when I was in high school. Being a son of two teachers I was compelled to become a tutor. I was my first student. Teaching myself how to play the piano and gutiar. My father taught me methods of how to learn and thats what I use to teach. I gained more experience helping people write essays and do home work. Once a student has completed this, I begin to offer materials that are more specific to the musical genre that they have stated interest in. As a student progresses, I work to expose them to a variety of techniques with a focus on helping them to develop their own unique voice on their instrument. My hope is that, during this process, students would come to view growing in their musical gifts as an enjoyable and fulfilling process that continues throughout their life. Read More
