I started teaching guitar 21 years ago when a friend of mine asked for some pointers. After working with him for a couple months, it became apparent to me that I was really enjoying sharing the techniques and tricks to more comfortable, relaxed playing. When I think about a student learning wintry to put myself in there shoes. They want to feel like they have something to show for the time that they were the class session. . if we have an hour session and at the end of the session they can go out and show off what they learned then they will. It be as motivated to come back.... Music takes practice and sometimes practice is tough, but above all, music should always be fun. My teaching style in encouraging, but not strict. I then teach the necessary building blocks in order to reach certain goals that the student and I set in a timely manner.
