Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Over the years I've really come to appreciate being a music instructor. I've never found it boring. Its always interesting and a great opportunity to grow as well. I've been playing music in Bands, Orchestras, and Jazz Ensembles since 1975. I've recorded multiple albums of my own original music. Nowadays I spend most of my musical time teaching, composing, and recording original music. Once the student learns proper form in holding the instrument, identifying the strings, tuning the instrument and following basic verbal instruction on producing accurate sounds, then basic theory will be applied for older students in the course of learning chords, and younger students will focus on more on learning simple chords. For me, nothing is more satisfying than watching a student progress with the work he or she has put in. My teaching style clearly shows the students that if they are not putting in the work by themselves at home, they will not progress. My first experience teaching someone was when I was younger in my high school days, I was teaching my 7 year old nephew how to play ukulele which was an arduous task indeed. But through said trails and tribulations we managed to accomplish our goals together. Currently Im teaching guitar at the fine arts academy and I am teaching one student consistently while also substituting occasionally. One thing I have learned through teaching is that actually listening to music during practice is a big help and motivation which I like to include in sessions. Read More

It is an ambulant conservatoire like no other in the history of the world, and a very thorough and complete one too. Here in The US , I identified Alfred as the method that closest resembles the ABRSM . Alfred's books are even easier and more straightforward. They work very nicely with the British ABRSM. So I use Alfred Theory book for American terms and Aural training and Musicianship in Practice and matched them by the order of the ABRSM curriculum to a great success. Read More
