All students learn differently, therefore it is important for me to capture their attention in different ways. I teach students according to their interests and their goals. Although there is this flexibility, I will always bring motivation and make the lessons as fun as possible to make the experience more interesting. Once the students express their goals and interests, I take over and help them find their path. When in the field of Music Education, I do adhere strenuously to the Standards set forth by The Education Dept, which gives a clear understanding as to what they are supposed to learn during the Grade they have achieved. My lessons and objective come from those guidelines. I will not often deviate from it, although I will use my own discretion in determining how to meet the Standard. I am a relatively new teacher! I've been a musician all my life, but only recently started teaching children and young adults how to play instruments or how to collaborate musically. I have found that teaching is an important part of being a musician, and I'm very excited to find new students.
