Teaching is something that I have always done, in addition to performing. I incorporate fundamentals and musicality with every student, but each student learns differently and has different goals. I do not have a set curriculum, I gear the study to the student, what the student needs and wants to accomplish. I encourage students to perform in some way, either on a solo recital of in a chamber ensemble. I hold annual recitals and online students also participate in recitals, if they choose. Read More

Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet, Keyboard, Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar

I believe all of these skills are important when someone is learning music to be well rounded and literate. That's not to say x22everythingx22 must be known. Instruments: Trumpet, Trombone, Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet

I have had experience teaching lessons ever since I was in college. Instruments: Flute

My teaching experience dates back to my high school days, as I began teaching private lessons and running sectionals at the conservatory in my hometown. I have been consistently teaching students since either in my home studio, or at different private and public institutions. I have held different faculty positions in colleges in the past 6 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. Instruments: Piano, Flute, Piccolo

I usually recommend piano as a starting instrument for children at least 5 years of age. Most often, I use the Alfred Piano Library Series of coordinating lesson books. I am most comfortable teaching beginner to intermediate level piano students. My main teaching instrument is Flute, and I can successfully teach ages 9 and up depending on the size of the student (sometimes younger if a curved head joint is used). I enjoy using various method books to develop fundamental skills and then pair these with appropriate level solo works. Read More

It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
