Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I am an avid music lover, performer, and teacher. I was lucky to study piano from a young age and have the amazing pre-collegiate experiences of appearing on MTV's Made and opening for the likes of McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, and Bela Fleck. I then received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA where I studied saxophone performance as well as piano, songwriting, and audio production. I have a few different methods depending on a students interests. A majority of my current students study concert and/or marching percussion with me. With either of these styles, I like to start by developing their sense of timing, reading, and technique. For this, I use a combination of the Mitchell Peters books in addition to packets that I've developed over the past 10 years. I am a passionate Christian and motivated drum instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. Since 2007 I've been apart of The Salvation Army Indiana Divisional Band. Since 2011 I have the pleasure of working as a freelance drummer. I also had the joy of working as a drum teacher at Cornerstone Center for the Arts (Muncie, IN).
