I'm an active drummer/percussionist with over 40 years of playing experience in numerous different styles of music. I have extensive experience as a private teacher, and am currently the drum set instructor at High Point University, where I teach private lessons, play in the university orchestra, and perform in various different musical theater programs and events. My teaching experience dates back to 2019, as I began assisting a band director with the rhythm and percussion section of the band. Since early 2020 I have been teaching drum lessons privately to any local students that have an interest in learning how to play drums. Over the years I have larned invaluable lessons about drum kit instruction. Teaching many different students with many different personalities, lesson needs, practice habits, and so on has led me to develop a flexability in my teaching that allows the individual student to get the most from each lesson.
