I have been teaching on and off since 2010 and now teach almost exclusively from my home studio in Bloomington, IN. I've had the experience of teaching everyone from 4 year olds to advanced adult students and implemented various teaching methods for the many different minds learning styles. I always liked to look at the art of music like learning a language so I have since learned to create individualized lesson plans for my students that gives students plenty time to "speak", that is learning the fundamentals, phrases, and tools to share their personal story and to study the vast pedigree of music that has come before them. I am a passionate and driven music instructor that loves encouraging and developing students who love the drums and music. I will be graduating in 2023 from Ball State University with a degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Marketing. I have performed in many settings like church worship teams, large orchestra school bands, music camps and large outside concerts. I am a passionate Christian and motivated drum instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. Since 2007 I've been apart of The Salvation Army Indiana Divisional Band. Since 2011 I have the pleasure of working as a freelance drummer. I also had the joy of working as a drum teacher at Cornerstone Center for the Arts (Muncie, IN). One of the greater experiences of my life as a musician was having the opportunity of playing with The Salvation Army USA/International Band in 2013 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena California.
