Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I have built my own personal curriculum based on fundamental elements, and which slowly progresses to the more difficult concepts and skills. The curriculum is also multi-dimensional; it is tailored to the interests and needs of the particular student, whether a beginner or advanced. At the beginning, students will be handed easy lessons learning how to gain control of the sticks and their hands. Withing 2-3 lessons, a book will be introduced and weekly homework will be given. My teaching style is relaxed. I don't want to have a student stressed out about learning. I will give weekly homework that I will expect students to work on . If a student feels over loaded, I am willing to adjust the amount of homework they receive. Read More

I believe in a gentle but firm approach to teaching. Also I will always meet my students where they are at individually and build them up from there. I don't believe in a "one size fits all" sort of method. I know discipline goes hand in hand with music, and the music doesn't come from the instrument but rather the musician.
