Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

Carlos studied Percussion at the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes of Mexico, Cultural Institute of Panamá, Republic of Panamá. as well with world known percussionist like Alex Acuña, Endel Dueño, Jesús Alfonso Miró (Musical Director of Los Muñequitos de Matanzas), Lamim Thiam, and more.With his explosive soloing and inventive conga patterns, Carlos is widely acclaimed as a grate percussionist. He is committed to the development of the conga drum, breaking down traditional percussion barriers to perform traditional latin rhythms, jazz, jungle, funk and hip-hop whilst retaining his distinctly latin roots.As a live and session performer, he played with various international artists including Willie Colón, Eugenia León, Oswaldo Ayala, Elizabeth Mesa (Judge of Latin American Idol), Paquito D'Rivera (multiple Grammy Award-winner), Enrique Nery, and more.His musical journey is a personal quest to explore and create new sounds and rhythmic fusions. I have also opened shows for many recognized national artists such as Joe Satriani, The Buckinghams, Edgar Winter, Alabama, and many others. If someone does a technique wrong for 7 months, it willprobleytake me 17 to fix it and break the habit. I use several books for my students but two of my favorites are both written by Louie Bellson. "Modern Reading Text in 4/4 time" and "Modern Reading text in odd-time" - They are different books than most use, and I use them especially for my jazz students but I have fount them to be invaluable. I try to keep lessons fun even though there's aspects that might be boring. So, I will switch from snare drum to drum set. Learning how to combine rudiments with drum set music such as jazz and rock is very beneficial. When my students are having trouble with a certain area, I do well with taking out that area and making a drill out of it. One of my specialties is that I will play the bass with students for various styles so they can have a hands on experience of the relationship of a rhythm section, phrasing, and timing. Read More
