I first like to get to know my student's goal whether it's just to learn to play, improve their skills, or become a professional. For a beginner I introduce the instrument, and instruct them in the basic techniques to start playing music the first day! I will then give them the instructional tools so they can feel comfortable putting their ideas into practice.
