I'm a young teacher who loves working with students and instilling my passion of music in them. I have been involved in music since the age of 5, and received my Bachelors of Music Education degree from Western Carolina University in 2018. We took trips to Chicago every other year to see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and to do a workshop at Northwestern University and my students received first and second division ratings at Solo and Ensemble both at the district and state levels. I was a judge for solo and ensemble and band festivals. I let my students set their own goals from a list of basic/intermediate goals I come up with that may be good for them to improve on or learn for future sucess. I let them set their own pace and never let them get discourage or be hard on themselves. Music is fun! I graduated with my Bachelors of Music from Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC. I am currently finishing his Masters of Arts in Teaching degree from Lenoir-Rhyne as well. While at Lenoir-Rhyne I was involved in a various amount of ensembles, including the newly reformed Spirit of LR Marching Band where I was the Head Drum Major for three years. I have loved music my entire life, and I am a fun, knowledgeable and dedicated teacher of both the clarinet and the piano.
