Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. I don't use one single method in my teaching. I firmly believe that strictly adhering to a single stylistic method produces strictly one-dimensional students. I encourage all my beginners to use Suzuki, especially in the development of their musical ear. I like to add solo and ensemble repertoire based on the student's unique musical personality, and because every body is different, I tailor all technical work to fit the student's specific physical needs, challenges, and strengths. I've also found that a combination of classical and popular music can go a long way in helping students enjoy any string instrument and motivate them to practice and continue to learn.
