For young students, I typically start with pieces and concepts from the Suzuki books, but generally strive to help students feel excited and comfortable about playing and practicing the instrument. This involves musical games, learning to play by ear, and beginning to learn to read music. With older students, I teach how to practice, how to execute technique, and then tailor lessons to students' goals and interests. I'm a Strings Teacher full time and enjoy teaching private lessons on the side as a part-time business. I enjoy teaching all ages and have been teaching for over 10 years! I grew up performing in New York and moved down to Nashville TN in 2007. I graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in May of 2012 and currently work as a full-time Strings Teacher.
