Over my years of teaching I have developed various "games" and "fun" lessons to keep young ones interested while learning important skills. For older students and adults I adapt a teaching style based on what I refer to as the four pillars Pat Martino, Don Mock, Howard Roberts and Ted Greene into a lesson plan to suit the individual. I started teaching at a small music store in Hollywood, Florida called The Banjo Shop. As the store specialized in Bluegrass music, I was hired to teach students the pop and rock songs being played at that time. I taught there for three years before relocating to North East Ohio. After taking some years off to raise a family I started teaching at GitterPicker String Factory in Twinsburg in 2005. Music has been a significant part of my life since I was a child, and it's importance has grown as I've gotten older. I started, as many do, in the fifth grade when I started playing the saxophone which I continued on through high school. When I was 13 I started playing the electric guitar, and I would later switch to the classical guitar at 19.
