As a bass teacher, I like to identify what the student needs to improve on and find the way to get them to have that "aha moment", whenthey figure out that they can play anything as difficult as it may be with the right guidance and the right tools when practicing. We will also learn the language of the style(s) that the student wants to learn through reverse engineering or transcribing which also improves their musical ears. Read More

Learning a musical instrument should always be a very rewarding and satisfying experience. Therefore, I have a large variety of techniques in my musical bag of tricks to challenge all types of learners. These include practice rewards, Band Olympics, ninja karate belts, and Harry Potter themed games. Read More

I'm always working on my skills not only as a musician, but as a teacher. Read More

My method and teaching style are one in the same. I am a teacher of music, not a task master. The student will only succeed if he/she sees some success. With a small success, they will continue to learn more. Once students learn something they have in their mind, they usually will stay with music, sometimes for the rest of their lives. I like teaching beginners something easy. Then, I play along with what they learned. Read More
