My name is Jerry. I LOVE music and passing my knowledge on to others. I have played music for 35 years. I started on clarinet in 7th grade and soon after discovered guitar. I picked up bass in high school was awarded a full scholarship to play with the Valdosta Symphony Orchestra while majoring in music. No matter what age, or skill level, I always bear in mind, that no two individuals, are the same. Taking that into account, there is always an evaluation performed to gauge competency of the instrument and knowledge of music theory if you're not a beginner. If the student is a beginner, I always start with the basics, music theory, parts of the guitar, maintenance of the instrument.
