I understand that some people want to just download chords of their favorite classic rock songs from the internet, and play them as quickly as possible, without learning to read and write music. Another student is interested in studying music theory, classical music's greatest hits, and how to read and write music. I was born in Marshall, Texas. I received my Bachelor of Music and my Master of Fine Arts in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University. I've spent seven years in public schools in the surrounding Houston area before coming on to teach with KIPP Houston Public Schools in 2012.
