am a firm believer in adapting my teaching methods in order fit with each individual student. I think that all students have a genre or playing style that inspires them most, and I strive to find that style and to teach through it. I allow technical exercises and theory to come out of a specific style or genre, because I feel that this is the best way to keep students engaged and interested in the material. In short, I teach to the student and never force anyone to learn material or genres that do not inspire them musically. Read More

The first week or two is devoted solely to establishing a basic ability to site-read music within the student. From that point, the journey into the world of guitar begins. I tend to employ the Hal Leonard method of teaching, following along with several of the Hal Leonard guitar books, for electric and acoustic guitars, also bass. Read More
