When I assisted in the academy, and jammed with the kids who were learning drums. I looked at their faces and nothing brought more joy to my heart that knowing that those kids found passion in music; the same way I did when I was younger. For my teaching style I can only go on my previous lessons where I exhibit a very relaxed and safe learning environment for students by making the lesson more of a constant learning experience rather than other teacher that I have had in the past that make it more of a lecture. I start my lessons with asking the student to give me their top 10 favorites songs that they would like to learn and based on their level I will select one song to start. I start with the essential elements of theory and basic chords. Once the student has progressed I will beging to introduce different styles of music to find out what the student is interested in, and build a lesson's plan designed specifically fot the student and keeping the motivation and fun classes regardless of their ability level.
