I was raised in Vero Beach Florida, and began playing guitar and piano at age 10. I graduated from the Schumann School for the Visual and Performing Arts, part of the Indian River Charter High School system. There afterward I moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to attend McNally Smith College of Music where I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Guitar Performance in 2015. When students are being lazy I call them out on it by saying something like, "What is that?"  It shakes them up and makes them realize I catch every mistake.  It's done in a lighthearted way so that the students feel comfortable with me as I do not want to drive away students who fear their teacher.  Comfort and discipline are imperative to help them achieve their goals.  If a student feels comfortable with their instrument they are more willing to practice and achieve a higher goal of performance. I got my start when I was six and picked up the guitar. From there I played in various local bands and wound up at the renowned Florida State University where I studied classical guitar. While there I expanded my knowledge of theory, practice approach, and audio production. In 2016 I had the opportunity to perform with George Clinton in an Old Time Ensemble through Florida State. Books I use for teaching Piano is the Piano Adventures series of books by Nancy and Randall Faber, which is a great lesson book and a good basic piano method for beginners through intermediate level students. For guitar I use the Hal Leonard Incredible Chord Finder and the Warren Nunes Jazz guitar Rhythm and Background Chords and the Solo Patterns book.
