Im an elementary music teacher based in New York City! I moved to New York just over 8 months ago from Louisiana. I have loved getting to experience the creativity and art scene in the city, and am excited to further my teaching experience here. Before moving, I taught voice lessons for 6 years! Vocal: I meet students where they are, working on some repertoire they select while throwing in some of my own selections. My students generally focus on vowel shape, vocal placement, breathing technique, and expanding range through knowledge of the head, chest, and mix voices (including belting). I am open to what students want and will generally be willing to throw out a lesson plan if that plan is not working for the student and try something new or different. Read More

She has performed recitals with the former Dean of Indiana University School of Music, Dr. Charles Webb, former Dean of Julliard, Stephen Clapp, Julliard professor and composer Wayne Oquin, and film composer Matt Veligdan. She has been featured as a soloist at various venues including NYCs famous Cotton Club, NYC Heart Run and Walk, The Wednesday Morning Music Club of Austin, Music in Salado, Inc., The National Black Theater in Harlem, The Laity Lodge Retreat Center, TX. and The Socrates Society of NYC. I have a Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University and a Master of Music degree in Jazz Performance from New England Conservatory.
