My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time for school years, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 17 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. After carefully assessing each of my students, and determining whether or not he or she are beginners, intermediate or advanced, I start them in the lesson book that is according to the level they are at. I teach from Alfred's Piano Course, but if my student has a piano book already, it is not a problem to teach from that series. Once my student has progressed and has a strong understanding of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire for their recitals and personal interest. Read More

I love singing and I love teaching. I've taught voice off and on since 2002. My studio has included students from EVERY age bracket, ages 6- 70 and I've truly enjoyed each! When not teaching singing, I've taught elementary music preK-8, directed junior high choir and musicals, taught kindergarten and tutored students K through college. I love performing and have been soloist in many classical pieces including Vivaldi's Gloria, Hayden's Little Organ Mass and several works by Mozart. Read More

He has sung with Washington National Opera, Washington Bach Consort, and Handel and Haydn Society and performed over 30 roles in opera/musical theater. He is also a singer/songwriter.
