Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I use humor and my own experiences to first establish a caring environment in which the student can be comfortable. Once that connection is established, I like to find out the students interests and make sure a personal goal is set that we can achieve together. I am a highly experienced,versatile, energetic and creative voice and piano teacher. I teach all ages and most styles. I am trained as a classical pianist and became a professional jazz singer in New York City in my late teens. I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts degree and later a Masters in Music Education degree from Columbia University. A native of Seattle, Christine began her musical studies as a classically-trained trumpet player. Moving to Chicago and collaborating with jazz colleagues led her to pursuing a master’s degree in vocal jazz. She was accepted into one of the nation’s leading jazz institutions, the University of North Texas. There she focused on her new passion for singing, honing her skills in piano, songwriting, arranging, and improvisation. If they are younger, I am more than happy with speak with their parents on what they'd like to see (or hear) from their child's practice. Depending on the style of the talent, I find it most beneficial to draw from the artists they most look up to and want to emulate.
