Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.
lessons are available in the following areas:

As a performer and life-long student of singing, I can empathize with challenges that students regularly face and may encounter in the future. Students needs can be broken into intellectual, physical, and psycho-emotional categories. To the first, I facilitate learning by establishing a goal-based partnership with each student. Using guiding and open-ended questions throughout lessons, I encourage each student to be curious and intentional about the singing process. This method challenges students to better evaluate their growth and recognize changes in their vocal technique. Read More
Instruments: Voice, Clarinet
I am a teacher that understands that students move at different paces, because no two people are the same. I also understand that each student has different musical and artistic goals. I allow my students to set their own goals for lessons, as this places accountability on them and will help them grow more passionate for the art because they are more involved in the process of decision making. I will guide them to become musicians of their own, who no longer need my help. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, Flute, Ukulele, Recorder, Piccolo, Music, Keyboard, Acoustic Guitar
For piano students I usually use Piano Adventures method books while supplementing with scales, pop and classical repertoire, theory, ear training, history and more. For ukulele and guitar we focus on strumming patterns, rhythm, chords, and repertoire anywhere from rock or pop to classical. Sometimes I will use a method book for guitar or ukulele students if they like that fit. I subscribe to Everand to access a library of music regularly for my students. Read More
Instruments: Guitar, Voice, Bass Guitar, Double Bass, Music
I believe that one of the most important things a musician can do is to find and develop their own voice on their instrument. Listening to the greats like Miles Davis, Jaco Pastorius, Jimi Hendrix, and Chick Corea illustrate how a unique voice can manifest itself and make the music so much more powerful. Additionally, finding their own voice is important outside of music as well. To keep students engaged and improving, we will also set smaller more immediately achievable goals. Read More
Instruments: Piano, Voice, Saxophone, Drums, Bass Guitar, Synthesizer, Music, Keyboard, Electric Guitar
To keep the student engaged in a lesson I always start with what the student wants to do first for about half of the lesson then stitch half way through to a professional lesson format to ensure progress is retained and homework is given at the end. The second half of the lesson would also be a performing part of the lesson(solo repertoire or improv) and the prior part would be warm-up time. Read More
