Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I teach the student as much as they can absorb while making sure they understand the material.I have never run out of material to teach.I teach proper technique and about scales because every song written is based on scales.I also work on songs with the student at the same time so they can see and understand how the songs and scales are used together.After the basics are understood we move on to songs the student wants to learn.I can also tailor lessons to a students wants or needs if desired.I have been doing this quite a while and understand what works. I teach music by breaking down the elements of a performance to as digestible a lesson as the student feels comfortable in tackling. By setting such a pace with realistic goals I can keep students engaged and encouraged to work through material and really achieve a feeling of competency. I encourage players to learn a piece thoroughly and practice often finding that by the time they've memorized the music they can work on the finer aspects of musicality and performance that really elevates the work. When teaching music (or anything), I always attempt to meet the students where they are: For example, when teaching a young beginner, I m a young beginner, I would probably explain the scale by singing the, "Doe, a Deer," song (from The sound of Music) - everyone knows that. I try to keep things light, simple and fun, while challenging at the same time. I strike a balance between pushing for skill and making sure a student has fun. That balance rests on communication how invested, listened to, and motivated they feel. To establish that communication, we'll talk each week about progress, concerns, and triumphs. I also try to find the roots of problems.
