Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For beginners I use a method book for learning how to read music and learn music theory. Once the basics are attained I introduce scales and etudes to build on the technical aspects of playing the instrument. Solo books are also added to the repertoire for the student so that they can use everything they have learned thus far and express that in a piece of music. Younger children will not do as much music reading in the beginning of lessons. Read More

I also prepare them for various other orchestra auditions or solo competitions. I take each student's individual needs into account and work on scale or Kreuzter etudes, and assign them solo repertoire suitable for their playing level and practice habits. If a student has an half hour lesson, I encourage them to practice daily a half hour five days per week. If a student has an hour lesson, then I expect practicing an hour daily five days per week. I also like to involve parentsespecially of younger students to be involved with and in their childs practice. My goal is to encourage students through praise.
