My teaching experience dates back to my undergraduate days, as I began teaching private lessons part-time 7 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students all across the globe in the US, Singapore, and Taiwan. I have worked with beginner, intermediate, and advanced players and adjusted to their needs accordingly, as well as gained valuable knowledge on how to efficiently resolve the difficulties encountered by the students. I always enjoyed performing, yet I fell in love with teaching very early, at the age of sixteen. A professor asked me to give a lesson to a fellow student of mine. A week after, the teacher called, saying that she could not recognize her student’s playing. The feeling of being able to make an impact was sensational. I am a classically trained pianist and violinist from Memphis, Tennessee. My first piano lessons were at the age of 6. I began my violin studies at age 10, and have been playing for 16 years. I have studied violin with Chun-Yu Chen, Joy Brown Wiener (concertmaster emeritus of the Memphis Symphony), and Domenic Salerni (first violin, Dali String Quartet). In 2015, I graduated from Emory University with a bachelor's in violin performance and an arts management certificate from the university business school. Read More
