Though I do not strictly follow the Suzuki method, which involves learning by ear, I often use the Suzuki books and incorporate elements of the method into lessons for students of all ages. This way, students can focus on learning to play violin without struggling to read music at the same time. Separating the two skills can help beginners pick up the instrument more quickly. I believe that a strong foundation is essential for steady progress and confident performance. A comprehensive approach is my preference.
