Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My initial lessons for all ages and levels begin with discussing expectations, motivations, and past experiences with music. Lessons should feel engaging fun, and productive. New players will learn fun ways to read music, feet positions, and hand exercises. Once a foundation is established, we'll learn more advanced skills and solo material. Beginners and intermediate players will always encounter scales and etudes as well as solo material just challenging enough to learn something new and fun enough they'll practice until they rock it. I worked extensively with the widow of the author of Essential Elements, and I understand how to implement the strategies for optimal success. For intermediate students, I typically use a combination of Suzuki, scale books, and etude books. to ensure success. For beguiners I like to start the with Essential Elements for Strings , a comprehensive string method by Michael Allen, Robert Gillespie Pamela Tellejohn , Afterthat book I combine Suzuki books 1, 2, 3 Studios Wolfarht,some Russian methods,(I have learned with most of them) Some scales books Grigorian, etc. for more advanced student i use to teache with Mazas, Kreutzer, Fiorillo, Rode, Dont, studios, and I combine the lessons focused in the princeipal golas for right or left hands.I like to start with left hands, focused in the fingrs positions and distances between each and other, entonation,at first in pizzicatto style, and then the bowl and the right hand. I use different methods according to the age, my main interest is to help the student love the music and the rest is just up to time and work.
