I am a cellist and guitarist from El Paso, TX. I studied at Baylor University working towards a Bachelor of Music Education. For orchestra students I usually use Essential Elements to begin for the first two to three years. I also use the Suzuki method and books for studying above what they are learning in the classroom. For voice and orchestra students I also find out what they are most interested in and what styles they want to learn and incorporate that into my lessons as well. I am a passionate instructor who enjoys working with students of all ages. I started performing, professionally, at a very young age, during my 6 years at the Alabama School of Fine Arts. From there, I attended the Louisiana State University, as a cello performance major and performed with the school symphony, as well as the Alexandria Symphony, the Lake Charles Symphony and local venues.
