I am a classical violinist teaching in Henderson and Boulder City. In 2008, I received my bachelor's in violin performance from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado, and in 2010, I received my master's in violin performance from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Before moving to Nevada, I performed with various professional orchestras in Colorado and Wyoming, including the Fort Collins Symphony and the Cheyenne Symphony. I believe that a strong foundation is essential for steady progress and confident performance. A comprehensive approach is my preference. Therefore, when I teach piano, I prefer Faber and Faber Piano Adventures paired with A Dozen a Day for added technique. Since many students in this school district are in band or orchestra, I usually use Essential Elements for Strings, Brass, and Woodwinds. I spend a reasonable amount of time preparing my students for our recitals and many of them join in the group songs, which have included "What a Wonderful World", "Happy", and currently "The Theme From Midnight Cowboy". I graduated from ths University of Nevada, Reno with my Bachelor's in Music Education. I have been in an Orchestra every year of my musical career as well as participating in various Choir and Band ensembles.
