I have held concertmaster and associate concertmaster positions in my youth orchestras, as well as my orchestra at New York University. In doing so I have been able to use my experiences to lead others with patience and confidence. Among those I privately tutor, I was able to teach a diverse population of students, including students with special needs. I have been able to gain the knowledge to teach children who have a hard time concentrating and/or not able to communicate well with others. Read More

I have acquired over 15 years experience in teaching all different genres of music through piano, violin, and viola to students of all ages, as well as many years of experience in preparing students for NYSSMA in all levels. I believe music should not only be an educational experience, but a creative and fun one as well! Through learning many different genres of music, my students will learn to appreciate all that encompasses music and they will become more well- rounded and open-minded in life. Read More

I have been teaching consistently since the summer of 2013, working with students of all ages and ability. Although I specialize in violin performance and pedagogy, I have also spent a significant amount of time teaching piano, music theory, and harmony. I believe that consistent practice, alongside warm encouragement and motivation is the key to any kind of success when teaching music. Over the years, I have learned that teaching violin and music does not have to be done solely on the instrument, and I like to spend time developing a strong sense of harmony and rhythm by playing small practice games throughout a lesson- especially with children. Music is my life and I don't know what I'd do if it wasn't teaching. I do private lessons both in person and online. I have students of all ages, 5 - 45. I've been doing this for seven years. I specialize in practice techniques and NYSSMA prep. It's funny I don't believe in bad music. Beauty is in the eye (or in this case the ear) of the beholder. There are many ways to love music, and there are just as many ways to learns music. Read More

For beginner students, I like to work on positioning the instrument, proper bow hold, and simple string crossing exercises. A great beginners book is the quick steps to note reading. I believe beginner students should be practicing with this book every day. When they are ready to start learning pieces, I really like to use the Suzuki books. This works for both young beginners and adult beginners. For students who are more advanced, I am adamant about them practicing scales and etudes. Read More

Growing up with both Suzuki books and Hal Leonard Essential Elements books, those are what I prefer to use. Essential Elements, especially for string players, offers an incredible foundation for beginners. One thing I really love about those books is the use of scales from the start. As a college musician, you quickly learn the importance of scales. I place a high priority on scale practice as it is the foundation of all we play. Read More

I studied guitar with international performing artist Anna Maria Rosado and composition with American composer Annette Le Siege. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Guitar Performance from New Jersey City University. I have performed extensively in small venues throughout Vermont, and was a house musician for several seasons at the Yosemite Theater in Yosemite National Park, California. I have been teaching for over 30 years. Most of my students describe me as fun and patient. Read More
