I follow the American String Teachers Association's curriculum for orchestra education as a guideline for the skills and techniques that students must develop. The skills are developmentally sequenced and build upon one another like a stack of blocks. I also frequently ask for student input on what music we are playing and what the student's goals are in order to better tailor each lesson. Read More

I am a professional violinist and violin instructor. I have a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from the Universidad de Chile, an Artist Diploma Program, and a Master's degree in Music Performance, both from Duquesne University. I started my career in music when I was 13, and I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to playing and teaching music. In 2019 I moved from Chile to the United States, more specifically to Pittsburgh because I wanted to grow my knowledge in music and I started a graduate program at Duquesne University. Read More

In teaching voice, I am sensitive to the delicate nature of young voices and teach total musicianship, including tonal memory, scales, sight-reading, and repertoire. I highly encourage students to sing music they love and feel a real connection to; any style or genre is fair game! Voice students who play an instrument (guitar or piano, for example) are welcome to do so during the voice lesson, if you wish. I love helping you combine your musical passions!!! Read More
