Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. The way I approach teaching is very much a mix between tradition and improvisation. Every single student is different so I try to tap in to their personality and use that to help them. The work of learning the instrument is divided in 2 parts, the teachers part and the student. The teacher has to be clear, loving and practical to help the student progress. My love of music grew as a child having a family supportive of music education. I see the participation in playing musical instruments as much of a fun activity as it is a physical and mental workout. After receiving my Associate in Science in Music I went straight into a studio and started teaching a range of students from 4 - 24 years old, and from the never-picked-up-an-instrument-before to I-can't-wait-for-the-competition levels.
