There, I began teaching much younger students using mutli-sensory techniques to keep my students engaged and most importantly, having fun! With younger students, it is important to develop this teacher, student, parent relationship in order to grow. By allowing the parent to be a part of the experience, it not only helps them to see what their student, at that age, is experiencing, it as well helps for during individual practice time. I'm a classically trained violinist, with a Cajun Louisiana fiddling background. In the third grade, I began playing violin for orchestras in New Orleans, Louisiana and later had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of the New Orleans Creative Center for the Arts.
