My name is Hank, and I recently graduated from Loyola University New Orleans with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. My primary instrument is the piano, but I also play all string instruments (violin, viola, cello, bass, guitar) as well as the trombone. For beginning students, I start with the Essential Elements book. If the student has already taken lessons or is in their school band/orchestra, I encourage moving onto the Rubank Elementary, Intermediate, and Advanced method books depending on ability. Once a student has proven that they are able to handle it, I will start on solo repertoire. Hello everyone! I am a board certified music therapist, but have thoroughly enjoyed teaching since I was 18! I graduated from Illinois State University with a Bachelor Degree in Music Therapy. I love to keep the fundamentals in mind with scales and etudes fit for the student's skill level, and leverage those through a performance piece of choice, be it mine or yours (with blessings).
