I encourage students to do their absolute best but to not push themselves too hard. When you're learning an instrument, it's not always going to be easy. It's important that students can still have fun when they're learning. That's why I give music to students that I know can be accomplished. When a student encounters a difficult series of notes or rhythms, I will break it down and help to make it more understandable. Read More

I taught myself until I started college and studied with Kelly Lake, Stephanie Gardner, Jeff Quamo and Cris Inguanti at NAU. While working toward receiving my Masters in Clarinet performance at NAU, I taught music theory and aural perception at the undergraduate level. In addition to teaching I've had two pieces written and recorded for me along with a couple tracks on a comedian's recent albums. Read More
