My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part-time 5 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students online for the last 3 years. I'm currently a trumpet player in Cirque Du Soleil's show LUZIA. I began teaching while I was in college, I taught trumpet, music theory and piano. Shortly after that I was able to start my own studio where I taught privately and was also a teacher at a music institute. My teaching style begins with my assessment of each student's abilities, physical, mental, and emotional. By this method I am able to design a realistic program for each student. In my lessons, I advocate for a strong emphasis on tone and technique. Getting these aspects of trumpet playing down are extremely important as the trumpet is a very physically demanding instrument. I have many different levels of method books to work from, but one of the biggest and most comprehensive is the Arban's book.
