I focus on a skills based learning regimen. I often start beginners out without using a book, just learning to make the instrument perform before we add the complexities of music notation to the mix. With more advanced students I work on the small details of mastering the instrument, and translate that into performance. I myself am a music student on my way to study at University of Alabama for a Bachelor's in Music Education. I have been privately instructing students of all ages for a full three years, starting when I was fifteen. I never turn down an opportunity to perform, and have played in multiple orchestras, symphonic bands, jazz bands, and marching bands.
