I'm a passionate and energetic teacher who loves working with students to achieve their goals. I graduated in 2007 with a BA in music. I have performed all over the country with different ensembles. I've played with the St Louis Big Band, The Orlando Jazz combo and several traveling ensembles. I have taught in public schools since 2010. I started private instructions in 2016. I tend to ask all students what they love the most about music? Music is the building block of life. < Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. I like to start where the student is. For my youngest students, we begin with the basics of counting and the music alphabet. For older students and adults, I assess prior knowledge and go from there. i like to have the students help me create up to three goals for the semester or year so that we can have something specific to aim for and measure.
