My teaching style is very much praxial and based off of skill reinforcement. For any instrument, I will incorporate the Kodaly method (solfege) of musicianship into the curriculum. For me, my goal is to teach the student how to learn for themselves. In May of 2017, I graduate from Long Island University with a Master of Arts in Music Composition and Music Theory. During my studies at Long Island University, a solo violin work I composed was performed at the Moscow State Conservatory by Anastasia Vedyakova. They have a complete system which includes professionally recorded accompaniments which provide a model for the student to hear how to play with good intonation, tone and rhythm which are the most important basics. In addition I recommend other sheet music with piano accompaniment or books with CD accompaniments that can be performed for friends and family. Read More
