I'm a professional trumpet player who enjoys working with students of all experience levels and interests. I recently graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Trumpet degree from the University of Michigan, where I was the Graduate Student Instructor in trumpet and Instructor of Trumpet. I'm fortunate to have performed with ensembles of a wide range of genres, including serving as Acting Principal Trumpet of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra, second trumpet with the University of Michigan Brass Quintet, improviser with the International Contemporary Ensemble, among many others. I have been teaching in the NOVA area for a little over three years now. I started when I returned from out of state and have not looked back since. I have maintained a studio of about 10-15 students almost consistently after about a year of starting. My students have ranged widely in age, from elementary students to retired adults who have have wanted to learn an instrument.
