My name is Chris, and I have been playing trumpet for over twenty years. I grew up in the TX public schools and was a two time TMEA All-State Musician. I hold three degrees in music from accredited universities: DMA at UGA, MM at UT-Austin, BM at NDSU. I enjoy teaching and helping others, and have a patient, kind approach to working with people.  I taught at a local school district in Dallas and throughout my teaching years, I had great success by placing students in All Region bands and orchestras.  And a great success by having my studnets score division one ratings in the UIL solo and esnemble contests. I believe that students learn best when activities are hands - on and through repetition. This is why my lesson include games to help students practice what they learn. It is my goal to motivated students to reach their highest potential. I encourage students to set realistic goals and motivate them to work at their own pace.
