I take the student at his/her own pace. I try to be sensitive to the needs of the student not just his/her musical needs but his/her academic needs as my ability to continue working with the student depends upon his/her academic success. I will suggest a basic routine at home: Housework, Practice, Study, Leisure, Bedtime. An adequate grasp of the fundamentals, along with consistent practice and rehearsal times, lead to a student expediting their abilities.
