I am invested in providing music instruction to any who wish to study the art. I specialize in brass instruments, as both of my degrees were in music performance on euphonium. I have had performance experience in a wide array of ensembles from concert band, symphony orchestra, steel band, to brass choir and beyond. Again, my teaching style reflects my own experience. I learned the most from the teachers that recognized that the trumpet is an incredibly phisical instrument and each player brings a different physique to the instrument. A recognition of each player's strengths and weaknesses, both physically and mentally, allows me to be the most effective by targeting techniques that work and finding new approaches to those that do not. I am a native of Northeast Ohio, having grown up in Ashtabula.  I received a BM in Trumpet Performance and will soon be finishing a MM in Music Composition and MM in Choral Conducting all from The University of Akron.  In addition to teaching lessons, I am the Director of Music Ministries at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Strongsville, OH.  I also perform around Northeast Ohio with community bands and choirs, for musical theater at locations such as the Near West Theatre of Cleveland, and at many local churches, bars, and other event locations.
