The groups I play in I am the lead trombone so I have a responsibility to teach my coherts the correct rythms, intunation and style. I do recordings for our Jazz band as well as lead trombone. I am both an avid teacher and an avid performer. In addition to my teaching experience, I have performed in concerts across the US, as well as throughout Europe. I bring a wide variety of performing practices into my lessons, having experience in both vocal and instrumental performance and teaching, as well as involvement in over 80 theatrical productions. My teaching experience stems back to high school. When I was 14 I was recognized for my talent to help members of the Jr high and beginner band classes. Then when I was attending Miami University, I started my own studio of three high school trombone students; I did that for 2 years. Since then I have taught at dozens of band camps all across Ohio, I have taught in BGSUs Academy Band from 2017-2018, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestras Youth Wind Ensemble from 2014-2016. Read More
