I'm a very passionate and motivated educator who loves sharing that passion and motivation with my students. I'm currently attending Metropolitan State University of Denver getting my bachelor's in trumpet performance. I've been playing the trumpet since I was 11, but really found that it was my calling in my junior year of high school where I decided to pursue a degree in something that I love! Since then, I have won the Louis Armstrong Jazz Award in 2018, played with the Parker Symphony as the assistant principal trumpet, have played with the Colorado Brass, the Rocky Mountain Jazz Orchestra, and the Mariachi Los Caracaminos de MSU, as well as many other chamber ensembles both professionally and at my university. With each student or students I first have to assess to see what level they are playing so that I can start them out at a level that would benefit them. I will be teaching online because of the fact that I am in a wheelchair and not able to get into the homes of the students that I teach. I have done this before and have been successful at it. When starting to take trumpet or brass instrument lessons each student will be starting at different levels along with progressing at a different pace.
